Grantmaking Program Area Descriptions:
Education- Focused on achievement in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Healthcare- Leveraging its technology and resources to improve quality and access for children, women and seniors in rural and urban communities in need. Our main focus is to reduce healthcare disparities, improve access and quality, and enable better chronic disease outcomes through health information technology that educates and empowers patients to self-manage their health.
Energy Management- The Verizon Foundation is seeking to accelerate change through research partnerships and philanthropic investment to find better ways to manage our energy use and Build Smarter Neighborhoods.
