About Us: 

Mission/Giving Statement:  The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) invests in clean energy technologies that strenthen the economy, protect the environment, and reduce dependence on foreign oil.

Grantmaking Program Area Descriptions:  EERE provides financing and incentives for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects for the home, business, industry, utilities, and government.  To find current funding opportunities, click on the Funding tab of their website.

Application Instructions: Each grant, when announced through www.grants.gov, will provide instructions for that particular grant. Typically you willl have 4-6 weeks to respond. Most federal discretionary grant applications can be filed electronically on www.grants.gov .  It is also recommended that you send a hard copy of your grant request by overnight mail to the grant officer listed on each grant announcement.  Please note, applications must include a Dun and Bradstreet Data Univeral Numbering System (DUNS) number and register with the Central Contractor's Registry (CCR).  It is suggested that this be completed at least 30 days in advance of the application due date.
