Main Areas of Responsibility: 

This is a part-time position (5-20 hours/week @ $15/hour; maximum 80 hours/month).
Responsibilities: The primary role of the coordinator will be to research funding opportunities, participate in advocacy research, facilitate and organize meetings for the coalition’s membership and sub-committees, maintain membership dues, and to seek-out and promote partnerships with local and national organizations to support the mission of AAHC.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Background: The AAHC is a local nonprofit Coalition that “advocates for preserving, increasing, and diversifying affordable housing for all Albuquerque residents by educating for funding, policy regulation, and systems that support this purpose.“ The purpose is to support and promote housing that meets broad community goals and adds value to the community, supporting housing that is affordable for all income levels, with particular attention to those most vulnerable to housing insecurity.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualifications and Competencies: The position requires strong organization skills, sound written and oral communication skills, and grant writing and/or fundraising experience is strongly preferred. Research, analysis, interpretation and evaluation skills as well as familiarity with affordable housing issues are also preferred. The position requires someone who is a self-starter and problem solver. People from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
