Development Coordinator

Job Description
Type of Job: 
Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provides general administrative assistance for the development office.
Responds to phone calls and email inquiries related to donations.
Completes data entry for donor recognition database.
Ensures donor acknowledgments are completed promptly.
Support the Director of Development in collecting data for grant submissions.
Assists the Director of Development in executing the Annual Giving Campaign, including logistics for hosted gatherings.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Participates in planning and executing agency events, including evening and weekend work.
Contributes to creating print, video, and media collateral materials, including basic brochures, videos, and philanthropic investment reports for donors.
Assists the Director of Development with forms that inform donors and prospects about Heading Home’s mission and effectiveness.
Updates and maintains an agency volunteer database.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum High School diploma or GED.
A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
A minimum one (1) year experience of in gift solicitation is preferred.
A working knowledge of issues regarding homelessness and a demonstrated and articulated passion for Heading Home’s population is preferred.
