Education and Outreach Director

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

This position will oversee two programs at the organization: Education and Outreach and the New Mexico Coalition to Enhance Working Lands (NMCEWL). These programs are two sides of the same coin, with one focused on developing a community of practice among farmers and ranchers and the other focused on developing a community of practice among organizations and agencies that support agriculture and land stewardship.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

They are responsible for coordinating and directing Education and Outreach team, NMCEWL team, and contractors to achieve the strategic goals of the Education and Outreach Program (which includes the REGENERATE conference), and NMCEWL Program. This will include development of workshops, meetings, publications and outreach materials.

Other Information/Requirements: 

The position requires a passion for developing and supporting a land based education program and for building meaningful relationships with diversities of people. Additionally, it requires a sense of humor, flexibility, willingness to do what needs to get done; experience fundraising for nonprofit programs and managing budgets; and substantive experience in educational programming direction in a nonprofit setting.
