Director of Immigration & Refugee Support

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide overall leadership, direction & oversight to staff and operations in the areas of immigration legal services and refugee direct-service support. It include staff supervision and development, grant & budget management, new program development, promotion of client interests through community engagement & social advocacy, continued learning in ever-changing immigration law procedures and practices, maintenance of client activities & service delivery standards.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Our immigration work centers on reduced-fee legal representation in the field of immigration law, and our refugee programs revolve around community-based, culturally and linguistically appropriate learning groups. DOJ accredited representatives and law school graduates are encouraged to apply.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree required in legal, social services or other public interest related fields; minimum of 3 years’ experience in supervision & management; minimum of 2 years’ experience in federal grant management & preparing budgets; minimum of 2 years’ direct experience in a non-profit agency. Experience working with refugee / immigrant population. Excellent reading, writing and verbal communication skills; proficient with computers and MS Office & Windows. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
