Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a member of the senior leadership team and is charged with managing and controlling all financial-related activities to improve and maintain the financial health of the council, including the day-to-day responsibilities of administering the Council’s strategic plan.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

With the help of a full-time Finance Manager, the CFO Supports the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in leading the development of the Council’s budget and operating plan, and ensures that resource allocation and utilization reflects and facilitates the achievement of the Council‘s strategic plan. Provides counsel to the CEO in the formulation of overall fiscal policies and plans regarding both short and long-term financial matters. Additional information at NMGirlScouts.org/careers.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelors or higher or equivalent experience with 10 years of directly related work experience, and at least 6 years of leadership experience. Advanced degree preferred. Experience in fund accounting or nonprofit accounting preferred. Experience managing operating budgets of at least $4 million. CPA or MBA preferred. Experience with Abila / MIP highly desirable.

Salary Range: 
$45,000 per year for 3 days per week
