Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

There are always outside projects that we need assistance with. Our custodial team does a great job, but sometimes can use the extra help. This volunteer position allows you to help us make our shelters a clean, beautiful place where men can find rest and safety. We are in need of volunteers to assist us with a small raised-bed garden at our AOC campus. We will need assistance preparing the garden for the spring/summer planting season, weeding, watering and general maintenance tasks. If you have a green thumb, we would love to have your help!

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

Our residents will be impacted. The Albuquerque Opportunity Center is a services campus that co-locates two programs: Emergency Housing and a Respite Care Program. Shared by the two programs on campus are an outdoor garden, computer lab, storage area, showers, laundry facilities, medical examination rooms, a library and a classroom area.
