Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

In partnership with other local, Albuquerque nonprofits and KaBoom!, we are building a playground for children in the International District! We need people to help on the prep days and build day, including help with construction, child care and food service. Anyone age 14 & up can volunteer.

Prep Day 1-Thursday Oct, 15th 8am-5pm
Prep Day 2-Friday Oct, 16th 8am-5pm (tentative)
BUILD DAY! Saturday Oct, 17th 8am-3pm

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

This is a community playground built on the property of the Sundowner Apartment Complex in Albuquerque. It is open to the public and will serve all of the amazing kids in the community!

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

There will be food and water provided to the volunteers.
There will be a band throughout the day to provide entertainment.
There will be activities for kids ages 5-13. Some of those activities will include sports and art projects.

It will be fun for everyone, at the same teaching the younger kids the importance of helping others!

Additional Requirements: 

No experience is necessary. We will build rain or shine, so dress appropriately for the weather. Dressing in layers is very important!! If you can bring tools, shovels, rakes, wheel barrows, tables, chairs, etc., that would be helpful.

Volunteers age 14-17 need their parents to sign a release.
