Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Provides logistical support for chapter workshops. Work may be done from home and averages 2-3 hours/week from Jan-Nov. Events Coordinator (or an approved alternate) must attend all workshops (12-15 per year). At this time, all workshops take place T-Th from 9am-12pm or 11am-1pm. Occasional evening workshops may be considered in the future. All events are held in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area.

Local small business owners and those who want to start a small business directly benefit from our workshops. Demand for our workshops is growing, and we want to meet this growing need.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

Training for this position will be provided. The Workshop Chair will be available for questions and assistance. This position will help develop your business and networking skills to make you more marketable for a career in event planning, marketing or business. You can expect to expand your business network as you meet local experts in finance, accounting, insurance, entrepreneurship, and other fields related to small business.

Additional Requirements: 

Must be super organized, absolutely dependable, self-directed, a quick learner, and smile a lot. You will be the face of the organization at the workshop. Dress code is business casual when attending workshops. In addition, you are responsible for getting yourself to and from workshops and meetings.
