Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

This is an opportunity for you to engage in cross-cultural learning with refugee/immigrant families about their experiences, cultures and values. Furthermore, this is an opportunity to address community issues and support families navigate new skills, such as self-advocacy.

Direct Service Intervention involves working with mix-status immigrant families in crisis. Volunteers will engage in referring families to social services, finding sources of help, being a friend and helping with other direct needs.
