Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Bereavement support group facilitators co-lead peer support groups for children and their caregivers who are grieving the death of a loved one. With supervision and support, compassionate listeners companion children in their grief journey by listening, playing games, doing crafts, and facilitating conversations among group members.

Children, adults, their extended family, and the community of Albuquerque. Volunteers will also be impacted by the caring, sharing, and the resilience of the participants.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

Training for $45 fee will include training binder, meals during the training, and background check fee.

Additional Requirements: 

You are required to take our mandatory 2 day training for all new bereavement facilitators. The next training is January 11th and 12th (Sat. & Sun.) - 2 full days. The commitment is one year; 3 hours, twice per month.
