Manzano Day School
Manzano Day School is dedicated to innovative child-centered education, excellence in teaching, and Joy in Learning® to prepare children for a life of discovery and community involvement in our diverse world.
Manzano Day School is accredited by the New Mexico State Department of Education and the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest. This designation gives Manzano Day School the latitude to build a curriculum that best meets our goal of educating the whole child. We teach the traditional subjects using a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles. In addition to the core studies, every student is exposed to the seven “co-curricular” subjects taught by experts in their fields: Spanish, art, music, technology, physical education, library skills, and environmental studies. Manzano Day School is one of only a few elementary schools across the United States that offers an outdoor educational program (Fenton Ranch). Our unique approach to education works. Manzano Day School students’ scores exceed national scores at all grade levels, and match or exceed other suburban schools’ and independent schools’ scores as well. More importantly, our mix of co-curriculars and programs, attentive and caring faculty with an inspiring academic setting, give children the foundation, and the will, to be successful students and lifelong learners.
