Mission Statement:

We promote clean, renewable energy and sustainability in New Mexico through education, empowerment, collaboration and advocacy.

Primary Programs:

SunChaser Program: This nationally recognized program is one of our principal outreach programs. Our instructors visit schools and special events to present programs to promote energy awareness and alternative energy solutions in a format that is aligned with state education requirements and standards.

Chapters: Local chapters offer monthly programs on aspects of solar in Alamogordo, Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Los Alamos, Silver City, and Taos.

The SunPaper: Bi-monthly newsletter covers what's happening within NMSEA and throughout the state in renewable energy and sustainable building.

Outreach: Members participate in NMSEA-sponsored and other events: Taos Solar Music Festival, SynergyFest, Solar Fiesta, Earth Day, and other events

Other Programs:

Solar Fiesta!:A 2-day fair with classes and exhibits on renewable energy, green building and sustainable living. Offerings for adults and children.

Solar Home Tours

Solar and Sustainable Directory: A listing of products and services provided by companies and organizations in NM in solar and sustainable industries.

Website offers educational material, event calendar, the directory, a guide to going solar, and volunteer opportunities.
