PNM Offers $250,000 to Nonprofits for Energy Saving Projects

Nonprofits that want to complete energy saving projects should apply for PNM Reduce Your Use Grants before Friday, Sept. 19. Qualified organizations may receive up to $5,000 to put their energy-saving ideas into action.

Previous recipients have used the grants to replace inefficient windows, upgrade lighting or replace older appliances. Most nonprofit groups struggle with the same challenge: finding enough money to finance their missions. Reduce Your Use Grants helps nonprofits put more money into their mission by taking care of their energy concerns and reducing the amount they need to spend on electricity.

"PNM Reduce Your Use Grants, paired with rebate programs can make a significant difference for any nonprofit organization,” said Jennifer Scacco, project manager, PNM Community Relations. “This is just one of the many easy and effective programs designed to help our customers save money and energy.”
