People Living Through Cancer Announces Grand Opening of the new
Masonic Discovery Center within PLTC

Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Scheduled for Wednesday, July 13, 2011

People Living Through Cancer is pleased to announce the grand opening of The Masonic Discovery Center within PLTC for Cancer Survivors & Caregivers, at 3411 Candelaria NE Suite M in Albuquerque.

The new Masonic Discovery Center within PLTC is a multi-use education & training center for cancer survivors and caregivers. The new center’s calendar will continue to include support groups and programs for cancer survivors and caregivers, as well as delicious potlucks, extensive patient-friendly library and varied educational events. Other activities will include facilitator trainings, educational workshops and cooking classes focusing on enhancing life during the cancer journey. The Masonic Discovery Center includes an area for physical activity, such as yoga and strength training for survivors and co-survivors.

RIBBON CUTTING & GRAND OPENING of the New Masonic Discovery Center within PLTC will be on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, from 2-4 PM at 3411 Candelaria NE Suite M, Albuquerque. People Living Through Cancer, a not for profit organization, connects and supports cancer survivors and caregivers by transforming shared individual experiences into enduring hope. PLTC began with five women in Albuquerque in 1983 and has expanded to a multi-person full-time staff and a dedicated board of directors.
