Help Tell the Story of Our Nonprofits - Take the 2014 NM Nonprofit Survey

Help us better understand the key issues that nonprofits are working on, the opportunities and challenges we face, and how we can continue to work together to ensure the well-being of all New Mexicans.

Who is conducting the survey?
This survey effort is being led by the Building Movement Project (BMP), in partnership with many New Mexico nonprofits such as Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless, Encuentro, Center for Nonprofit Excellence, and SouthWest Organizing Project, and others working to strengthen connections and collaboration within the state’s nonprofit sector. The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has also provided support for this survey effort.

Who should take this survey?
People in leadership positions at a New Mexico-based nonprofit organizations – including direct services organizations, community organizing groups, and advocacy organizations. Please fill out only one survey per organization.

What does the survey ask?
This short confidential survey will ask you questions about your nonprofit organization’s work, the communities that you serve, and ways in which your organization works with other organizations and coalitions. The survey should take about 15 minutes to fill out.

Why should I take this survey?
The survey will provide valuable information about the current state of New Mexico’s nonprofit sector. Specifically, it will help us better understand: the types of work nonprofits are currently engaged in; the key issues they are seeking to address; the communities they serve; the opportunities and challenges they face; and the ways that they work with each other to ensure the well-being of all New Mexicans.  This information will help us to tell the story of the important role that nonprofits play in protecting the common good.  Last year’s survey led to the report, “Meeting Need, Making Change: 2013 Survey of Nonprofit Service Providers in New Mexico”, and a report on this survey will be released in early 2015.
