Do You Have an Idea for Social Change?

SINC Workshop

Interested in starting a nonprofit? Do you have an idea about how to create positive change in New Mexico? Ready to get started?

SINC, the nonprofit capacity support division of the Rio Grande Community Development Corporation, will be holding their Nonprofit Startup Workshop on Oct. 12, 2018 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the South Valley Economic Development Center.

This daylong interactive workshop is designed for entrepreneurs, managers and board members who are thinking about starting a nonprofit, which can be a daunting endeavor. SINC’s Program Coordinator, Paul Aragon, leads participants through the ins and outs of starting a nonprofit, from finding funding, to filing your paperwork, to the day-to-day operations, to steps toward creating a Board of Directors and decision making within the nonprofit.

This workshop will answer questions and teach practical tools to help assess your idea. Most important, we’ll help you decide how best to move forward with your idea. Experts from the nonprofit community of Albuquerque will be on hand to give advice based on their experiences, successes and failures.

Join us and create a fun, interactive collaborative environment. Attendance is limited. The cost is $70 and lunch will be included.
