Department of Homeland Security Announces Grant Opportunity

The New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (NMDHSEM) has announced the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Fiscal Year 2019 Non-Profit Security Grant Program - State (NSGP-S). This is an opportunity for community partners in the nonprofit sector to address threats and risks that may adversely affect their clients, members and organizations. New Mexico has $150,000 to allocate.

The NSGP-S allowable costs support efforts to build and sustain core capabilities within the nonprofit community, including the prevention, protection, mitigation, response and recovery mission areas.

Apply by 5:00 p.m. MST on May 17; the period of performance will be for 18 months (July 1, 2019-Jan. 31, 2021). Applications must include proof of nonprofit status and will be capped at $50,000 per submission, per entity.

Contact Juanita Abeyta or Adam Simonson with questions, and indicate NSGP in the subject line to ensure a quick response.
