Teach For America Corps Member - Two Year Teaching Commitment

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility:

Today, educational outcomes for students in New Mexico are poor, and in many places fewer than 50% of them will graduate from high school. This injustice has staggering and lasting implications for the students and community -- but you have the power to change it.

Teach For America enlists a diverse corps of leaders who commit to teach for two years in urban and rural public schools and become lifelong advocates in the effort to expand educational opportunity in and out of the classroom.

Additional Areas of Responsibility:

Our corps members, who receive a full salary and benefits, use their numerous skills and experiences from their varied work, leadership, and academic backgrounds to effect change in their classroom and help break the cycle of inequity that prevents students from fulfilling their potential.

Other Information/Requirements:

No education coursework or certification required: candidates of all professional backgrounds, academic majors, and career interests are encouraged to apply. A bachelor's degree is required.
