Shift Supervisor - Part Time/Overnight/Weekends

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Reports to Program Director.
Assists in creating and maintaining an emotionally/physically/organizationally safe atmosphere.
Watching over residents in our shelter's 4 programs from 12:00 am - 8:30 am.
Supervision of security staff member.
Filing, updating databases, maintaining shift logs and documenting incidents.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Developing a solid, harm-reduction model-based relationship with residents within the programs, while adhering fairly to Heading Home policies and procedures.
Attending trainings and meetings as posted
Assist in occasional transportation needs of the residents.

Required:
Valid NM DL and reliable transportation.
Must participate in workshops and training.
Current CPR/First Aid Certificate.
Able to lift 35 lbs, and navigate facility with stairs, walkways, ramps.

Other Information/Requirements: 

HS Diploma or equivalent work experience with persons who are homeless.
Bachelor’s degree in social services preferred.
Must be able to work with people of diverse backgrounds and know how to set boundaries.
Strong communication skills/Bilingual is a plus.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
