Respite Resident Assistant

Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Heading Home is looking for a P/T Respite Resident Assistant to work in our men’s shelter at The Albuquerque Opportunity Center.

Monday-Friday 5:00pm-9:00pm for a total of 20 hrs. $10/hr
Responsibilities include assisting with meds, meals, laundry, and general needs of Respite Care Residents.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Assist with maintenance of AOC vehicles if needed : gas up, check oil, maintain tire pressure.
Organize, maintain cleanliness of storage and pantry area; also assist with resident storage check in/out.
Assist in occasional transportation needs of the residents.

Other Information/Requirements: 

HS diploma and/or work experience with persons who are homeless and/or low-income persons and/or families.
Must be able to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
Must know how to set boundaries.
Strong verbal and written communication skills needed.
Bi-lingual a plus.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
CPR certified is a plus
Valid DL and reliable transportation
