Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The External Recruiting Specialist is responsible for developing and executing effective recruiting strategies to increase awareness and participation in Girl Scouting through a variety of in person meetings, presentations, and networking opportunities with community organizations, corporations, schools, educators, faith-based intuitions and other community constituents

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

She/he is responsible for securing girl and adult volunteer participation and community partnerships through community cultivation, lead generation, and follow-up. Utilizes Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails customer relationship management system to support pursuance of leads throughout the recruitment process.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience in the Sales or Nonprofit sector.
• Previous experience in sales or marketing fields.
• Active listener and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communications skills.
• Computer savvy
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Access to reliable vehicle, possess valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. without assistance.
