Program Manager (Volunteers & Events)

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

General oversight of Heading Home’s volunteer programs
Coordinating volunteer activities
Recruiting, training, managing and stewarding volunteers
Coordinating events
Maintaining volunteer database
Event & Volunteer communications
Direct supervision of Vista Volunteer
Solicitation of sponsorship and in-kind donations

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree and/or 2-3 years relevant experience. Preferred candidates will be outgoing and energetic with excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience working with volunteers (recruiting, coordinating and stewardship). The ability to develop and maintain working relationships within the supporter community is a must. A history of successful event planning and committee work is a plus.

Ability to work under deadlines and manage stress

Other requirements:
Valid NM Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
Flexible schedule and ability to work occasional weekends and evenings
Ability to lift 35 pounds
This is a full time position with an hourly wage. Program Manager will start earning 29k-32k annually, based on experience.
