Main Areas of Responsibility:
Explora seeks a full-time Project Manager to support Explora’s federally-funded project, Square Roots: Supporting Black Scholars in STEM. The initiative strives to expand Explora's relevance to the local Black community and serve more Black students with STEM learning opportunities. The Project Team will co-create a holistic, place-based approach to STEM learning that incorporates a growth mindset and changes perceptions about who can do STEM.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
The Project Manager will work with Explora, the NM Black Leadership Council, and other project partners to lead the planning, development, and successful implementation of this two-year project, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently. This position is highly administrative and includes internal labor, budget, and schedule management; internal/external client relations; creative development; tracking of action items; coordination of meetings and cross-department teams; and overall organization.
Additionally, the Project Manager should be enthusiastic and comfortable participating in program delivery and will be expected to serve as an educator as needed, for this project and others that may arise.
