PRN (Back-up Shelter Staff)

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Heading Home oversees the Albuquerque Opportunity Center (AOC), an emergency night shelter for men years experiencing homelessness.

AOC is looking for a PRN employee who is available for On-Call shifts. Flexibility of schedule, reliable xportation, ability to respond to calls within 20 mins AND cover overnight shifts is a must.

The PRN staff member assists AOC in covering all positions and shifts. Training will be provided on all positions

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

*CPR/ First Aid Certification or become certified within 30 days of hire
*Have valid driver’s license with no DUI/DWI within the past 3 years

Other Information/Requirements: 

HS Diploma and experience with persons who are homeless and/or low-income persons and/or families. Must be able to work with people of diverse backgrounds. Must know how to set boundaries. Strong verbal communication skills needed. Bi-lingual a plus. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
