Main Areas of Responsibility:
Under the direction of the HCH, Manager, the Patient Services Representative (PSR) greets patients and visitors entering La Familia Medical Center (LFMC), registers new and returning patients, provides patient-related clerical services which include answering telephones, scheduling, obtaining and reviewing patient demographic/insurance information, collecting payments and obtaining referrals. Performs duties in a manner that is supportive and responsive to patients and visitors.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Greets new/returning patients, clients and visitors checks them in for scheduled and walk-in appointments, or directs them to appropriate offices or individual staff;
Provides general information to, updates records, schedules/reschedules/cancels/verifies medical center appointments and return appointments for patients over the phone/in person;
Answers the telephone and connects callers to the appropriate offices or individual staff, including assessing need for urgent appointments
