Mentor 2.0 Support Specialist (Educational Liaison)

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central NM is looking for a FT Mentor 2.0 Support Specialist (Education Liaison). Applicant will be working closely with South Valley Academy.

Experience working with teens/families/adults; interviewing and assessing; and relationship development experience required.

Classroom experience (especially with high school-aged students), and the understanding of child development and family dynamics is preferred.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Breakdown of position: approx 30% classroom instruction (curriculum-based)
• 10% administrative/event planning
• 60% monitoring & relationship development between teens and adult mentors

Other Information/Requirements: 

• BA required (unofficial transcripts will be required)
• Must pass federal background check
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred; $15.38/hr (+$0.48/hr if bilingual)
