Main Areas of Responsibility:
● Collecting, editing, and implementing the weekly newsletter.
● Making connections in the larger community to support school-wide goals and outreach programs
● Understanding the target audience, researching and writing stories
● Gathering of information for press release writing and distribution
● Keeping a media contact database and maintaining the archives
● Assist in planning, creating and editing content for print and online publications as needed
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
● Attend school events and activities for photos and understand photo editing software
● Video filming and editing skills with an understanding of marketing
● Loading news stories for regular publications and making minor updates as needed to website content
● Ensuring current and engaging content on all social media platforms
● Coordinate the recording and distribution of Facebook and Instagram live events
● Assist in planning a social media calendar and logging metrics
