Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for recruitment, benefits, and compliance. In addition to communicating directly with employees and candidates, the HR Generalist implements and improves administrative functions, record keeping, and HRIS systems. This person plays a key role in ensuring smooth, timely, and confidential HR operations in a mission-driven workplace.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Recruitment: post job ads, submit background checks, send offer letters, initiate online onboarding
Benefits: liaison with benefits providers, lead open enrollment, enroll newly eligible employees, support employees to access benefits
Compliance: track leave and ADA accommodations, employee policies, and external reporting
Administration: maintain HR database, employee records, payroll deductions, etc.
