Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

AmeriCorps*VISTA volunteer position will strengthen current programs through fundraising, volunteer recruitment, event planning, educational programming and other administrative tasks. Heading Home is a non-profit agency working on issues of housing and homelessness, and serves as the backbone organization for Albuquerque Heading Home.

VISTA positions are open to all US citizens, nationals, and lawful permanent resident aliens age 18 or older.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability in working well with others
• Highly organized and self-motivated
• Must be available November 4-7th to attend a pre-service mandatory training in Dallas

Other Information/Requirements: 

The position is full-time and a year-long commitment beginning November 2014. The position offers a living allowance of approximately $900 per month, health coverage and childcare, if needed. Other benefits include student loan forbearance or deference and an educational award or cash stipend at the completion of service.
