Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Santa Fe Children’s Museum is seeking an inspirational, results-driven Executive Director with a passion for educating children and an outstanding track record of fundraising for growth and sustainability, leading organizations with vision through challenging times, and engaging communities for collaborative outcome.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The ED will serve as the chief executive officer and fundraiser. Responsibilities and duties will include: strategic planning; strengthening financial position and sustainability of the museum with effective fundraising, continued development of earned income sources, and efficient use of resources; providing direction for overall programs and exhibits; marketing and public relations; developing and implementing the annual budget; personnel management, and building/exhibit management.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Ideal candidates would have strong knowledge and experiences of leading a children’s museum or institutions with similar audience and mission; outstanding track record of fundraising success; strong marketing and communication skills; deep experience in strategic planning, financial management and operations; strong organizational skills; and work effectively with volunteers, partners and cross-sector community leaders to build long-term collaborative partnerships.
