Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Under direction of the Board, the Executive Director is responsible for the management and operations of Sawmill Community Land Trust, a membership based, non-profit organization. The Executive Director is responsible for the implementation of policies set by the Board as well as annual goals and objectives, financial, program, and administrative oversight of the organization.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Development, management, and maintenance of financial resources and administrative systems. Direct responsibility for preparing the annual budget, implementing a fundraising plan, and presentation of Board Reports.
• Management and coordination programs for construction, rehabilitation, and management of affordable housing, commercial and community development projects.
Promotion and public advocacy of Sawmill's mission, message and interests.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Affordable housing development and management experience, knowledge of Low Income Housing Tax Credits.
Thorough understanding of property development, housing finance, and community and economic development strategies. (CHDO, HOME-assisted Housing, etc.) Leadership skills.
Knowledge of the community land trust model, including the role of stewardship.
Contract management and negotiation, grant writing, policies and procedures, and funding.
