Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Executive Director implements policy and sets strategy, ensures positive outcomes for public and private resource development for annual needs as well as the campaign for a permanent campus, and oversees the successful build out of a permanent campus. The Director is part of NMSA’s senior management leadership team.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Organizational leadership
Planning and functional management
Annual and campaign resource development
Board management
Permanent campus building project
Financial, legal, and risk management
Planning and systems management
Arts programming

Other Information/Requirements: 

1. Significant Resource Development experience including donor research, stewardship as well as a track record of meeting goals
2. Campaign fund development experience
3. Understanding of the core elements of a large construction project
4. Extensive not-for-profit staff and board management experience
5. Experience with Public Policy, Public Advocacy and Legislative Affairs is a plus
6. Communicates effectively through clear speaking, writing and effective listening
