Main Areas of Responsibility:
• major gifts
• annual campaigns
• planned giving
• capital campaigns
• donor stewardship
• forging new relationships to build financial resources
• board leadership in development
• events and other strategies, as identified.
Part of executive leadership; answers to CEO & supervises a dept. of 4 staff; works with Grants & Contracts Director. Supervisory skill & collaboration is critical, as is the ability to self-initiate & enact a broad, comprehensive development plan.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Successful applicants will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in nonprofit development; excellent verbal and written communication skills; good interactive people skills that build strong and lasting relationships; high energy and passion for Heading Home’s vision; demonstrable ability to work with donor database tracking systems and strong attention to detail.
