Director of Resource Development

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Resource Development Director oversees all fundraising activities and is a critical member of Samaritan’s leadership team. The Director gives leadership and support to planning, implementing, and evaluating the financial development of the Center and its Foundation. Main responsibilities include: major gift fundraising, grant writing; overseeing the two major fundraising events: the NM Ethics in Business Awards program and the Silent Samaritan luncheon; marketing and public relations.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Assisting board members and volunteers in soliciting prospective donors; identifying, cultivating and soliciting donor prospects; preparing an annual financial development plan and staff supervision.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Successful experience in resource development and fund raising; knowledge of resource development and working style in a not-for-profit setting; experience and ability to motivate and support work of board members and volunteers; ability to communicate persuasively, report and write clearly and plan strategically. Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience is required. Flexible hours may be negotiated.
