Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing, and curating all fund development efforts including the annual fund, planned giving, special events, major gifts, government grants, and capital campaigns. The Director works closely with the Executive Director, the Board of Directors, and the SAS Management Team in all fund-raising efforts.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Grow a major gifts program through the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors.
Design, manage & implement fundraising activities.
Oversee the operational effectiveness, scheduling, content and delivery of fund development activities.
Maintain strong relationships with external agencies and community members.
Participate long-range planning with the Board, Executive Director and Management Team.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
Two to five years of related work.
Familiarity with the fundraising landscape in NW NM.
Strong understanding of donor stewardship, community engagement, and mission-driven fund development.
Experience with using Social Media platforms.
Administrative, public relations, and community education experience.
Ability to work with constituency from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Strong inter-personal and writing skills.

$50,000-60,000 DOE
