Main Areas of Responsibility: 

New Mexico School for the Arts – Art Institute is seeking an energetic, self-motivated team player with proven fundraising talent and work ethic, excited by challenges, and determined to meet goals set by the President. Arts background a plus. Key responsibilities include planning and executing fundraising events, organizing and tracking donor data using donor CRM, coordinating volunteers and interns, cultivating prospects, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The primary responsibility of the Director of Development is to enthusiastically present the mission and outcomes of NM School for the Arts to all donors and partners and potential donors and partners. The Director of Development leads the efforts in the identification of and relationship building with key donors and groups in order to ensure that the organization receives a steady and sufficient amount of funding.

Other Information/Requirements: 

A bachelor's degree or more in a field related to the nonprofits and/or the organization's mission is preferred.

Strong leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams
