Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Supporting a stewardship program aimed at cultivating deeper ties with patrons.

Assisting in the research of funding sources and trends. Researching and writing grant proposals.

Assisting and coordinating foundation, government, corporate, individual, and special event fundraising.

Managing fundraising direct mail and email campaigns.
The Development Officer works under the supervision of the Executive Director, Development Director, and Development Chair.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Entering into and monitoring all donor information in the Tessitura Development database.

Recognizing and entering all donations and sponsorships to appropriate campaigns and funds, ensuring that donations receive timely recognition and appreciation.

Fluency in extracting and presenting statistical information for analysis to the Development Director, Executive Director, Development Chair, Boards of Director and senior leaders.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Skilled in creating powerful, compelling written and oral communications. Experience and credibility when presenting materials to external audiences.

Experience executing fundraising campaigns and a background in fundraising from multiple donor channels, including corporate partnerships, major donors, and annual giving. Experience with performing arts a plus.

Knowledge of, and experience with CRM (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Tessitura, etc.).

A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field is required.
