Development Officer

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Development Officer works with the Director of Development to meet the philanthropic objectives of the National Institute of Flamenco and Tierra Adentro Charter School.

Scope and Impact
The Development Officer plays an important role in the Development department. This position will maintain a portfolio of donors, and manage specific funds and/or campaigns as set forth by the Director of Development.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for coordinating and managing the relationship of the institution with corporations, foundations and individuals from who funds are sought for various programs and projects in alignment with the strategy set forth by the Director.

Must possess an understanding of current philanthropic and public relations interests of individuals, foundations or corporations, acquired through regular contact with those individuals and organizations.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This position requires some evening/weekend work
This position requires light lifting and mobility

Preferred Experience
▪ Keen organizational skills
▪ 3 years experience in fundraising and development in direct donor relations and management
▪ Proven success in donor development, campaign execution, and event sponsorship solicitation
▪ Donor Management Software (ex: DonorPerfect, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, etc)
▪ Microsoft Office Suite
