Main Areas of Responsibility:
Lead donor relationship & fundraising efforts. Responsible for financial development strategies & for forging new relationships to build impact & resources. Primary responsibilities are donor stewardship, major gifts, annual campaigns, capital campaigns, board leadership in development, events & other strategies. Answers directly to the CEO. Is part of executive team. Works in tandem with Grants & Contracts Director & Communications Director (both exec. level) & oversees development staff.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Must have demonstrated success in recruiting, retaining and stewarding donors to increased levels of giving and commitment to organizational vision. Executive leadership skill in supervision and collaboration is critical, as is the ability to self-initiate and enact a broad, comprehensive development plan. Systematic and effective strengthening of the organization’s overall fundraising capacity is expected.
