Development Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Albuquerque Heading Home and MHP seek experienced dev. director (DD) to lead in donor relationships, communications and fund-raising. Answers directly to CEO. Responsible for all fundraising and development activities; forging new relationships to build MHP’s visibility, impact and financial resources; implementing a comprehensive plan for cultivating individual and philanthropic support.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Successful applicants will have 5-plus years of professional experience nonprofit work; demonstrated success in development; excellent verbal and written communication skills; skills in producing strong print collateral; good interactive people skills that build strong and lasting relationships; high energy and passion for MHP’s vision; demonstrable ability to work with donor database tracking and strong attention to detail.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Salaried position beginning at $55,000 includes substantial paid time off, partial health and dental benefits. Successful applicants will be able to grow a $1.5M budget, expand and diversify MHP’s donor base and work to secure new funding for new initiatives. It is expected that the MHP revenue will increase in future years through the DD’s systematic and effective strengthening of the organization’s overall fundraising capacity.
