Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Development and Outreach Associate is responsible for creating community awareness of CGC’s services, events and volunteer opportunities, managing donor and grant information, leading the Community Alliance, as well as assisting with cultivating other committee volunteers and donors.

This position supports and enhances fundraising and outreach efforts agency-wide, working most closely with the Director of Development and Executive Director.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Research grant opportunities, generate inquiries, write proposals and reports.
• Maintain database of funded, pending and potential grants
• Researches and implements community-based fundraising opportunities.
• Creates and stewards relationships with corporations, civic groups, greek life, faith-based groups, etc.
• Maintains a vibrant social media presence
• Assists in production of print, e-blasts, and creates special appeals as needed.
• Seek out public speaking opportunities

Other Information/Requirements: 

Required: Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of professional fundraising experience.
Preferred: 3+ years of professional fundraising experience; specific education and certificate in non-profit development.
