Community Engagement Consultant

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Community Engagement Consultant will assist the New Mexico Commission on Access to Justice to develop and implement a plan to engage individuals and community-based organizations across the state to participate in achieving the Commission’s goal of ensuring 100% access to meaningful assistance for essential civil legal needs.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Work with Commission working group to develop a community engagement plan that includes engagement with individual justice system users and community based organizations. The Consultant will also be involved in implementing the plan.

Other Information/Requirements: 

The Community Engagement Consultant should have significant experience in community organizing and a track record of engaging communities in system change efforts. The Consultant should have excellent writing skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people. Patience with the constraints of the legal system a plus.
