Campaign Field Organizer

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Implementing a measurable field operations plan to defeat an anti-choice ballot measure in Albuquerque. Is an employee of PPNM but dedicated solely to working with the Respect Albuquerque Women coalition to defeat the ballot measure. An essential component of the job is community relations through recruiting and maintaining an activist base in targeted communities.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Will also coordinate mobilization for phone banks, canvassing, volunteer activist training, get out the vote initiatives, voter Ed, and outreach booths. Serves as a member of PPRM's Public Affairs team and assists in educating voters on the ballot process and substantive effects. This is a P/T (2 days a wk/15 hrs per wk), salaried, exempt position. The Field Organizer is a part-time (3 days a week/22.5 hours per week), salaried, exempt position.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This is a Grant funded position, & its continuation is dependent on this funding. A college degree or demonstrated equivalent exp. in a relevant field; campaign organizing skills & database mgt exp are strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal communication skills, especially comfort in asking people to take action. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Public speaking experience preferred. Knowledge of legislative & electoral processes required.
