Campaign Coordinator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Media Literacy Project is seeking a part-time Campaign Coordinator. This is a contract position. The primary function of this job is to manage all campaigns, supervise volunteers, and develop and strengthen MLP’s base and MLP’s organizational partnerships.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

•Develop and manage media justice campaigns
•Build MLP’s base
•Formalize organizational partners
•Supervise volunteers
•Develop leadership of volunteers and constituents
•Assemble and provide presentations which include conducting popular education and media research and selecting media examples
•Assist with development of educational resources
•Provide grant writing support and maintain grant reports
•Submit articles for website and monthly newsletter
•Document MLP events

Other Information/Requirements: 

•Knowledge of how to run, implement, and evaluate effective community organizing campaigns
•Knowledge and understanding of racial and social justice frameworks
•Ability to lead and coordinate projects
•Ability to connect with a large range of constituents
•Strong written and verbal skills
•Excellent organizational skills
•Strong public speaking and facilitation skills
•Strong supervision skills
•Ability to work as an individual and as a team
•Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
