Billing and Grants Specialist

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Billing and Grants Manager is responsible for budget preparation and accounting services related to the Barrett Foundation’s contracts.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Supporting implementation and adherence to grant requirements for Barrett Foundation Contracts
• Ensure grants are implemented according to the operational and financial needs of the organization.
• Oversee the job of invoicing, accounting, reporting, and other administrative functions to ensure successful execution of grant process.
• Assist with the preparation of the yearly budget.
• Maintain records of all payments and receivables and prepare monthly records for all grant-related activities.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local governments laws and regulations regarding grant agreements and administration, including tax laws charitable contributions.
• Bachelor’s Degree in or equivalent experience in a field related to the nonprofit sector.
• Three to five years’ experience overseeing government contracts.
