Main Areas of Responsibility: 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Institutional Advancement, the Associate Director will be responsible for implementing, executing and maintaining donor relations and stewardship activities for special constituency donors including, but not limited to donors recognized through annual giving to the President’s Circle and planned giving Legacy Circle, and other friends of IAIA.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
In collaboration with DIA, develops, manages and evaluates fundraising activities for donors, sponsors, and grant-making organizations to meet or exceed organizational goals.

Other Information/Requirements: 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (business, marketing, communications) and at least five (5) years of successful experience in major gifts, planned giving, campaign management, other fundraising, preferably in higher education or a nonprofit arts organization. PREFERRED: Master’s degree and experience working with American Indian and/or Alaska Native cultures.
