Main Areas of Responsibility: 

You can earn money for education while making a difference in your community! Crossroads for Women is currently recruiting a VISTA member with strong communication skills who takes initiative, works efficiently and demonstrates flexibility. This position develops and nurtures relationships within the community, with donors and volunteers.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Increase agency volunteer base and agency capacity through recruitment of skills based volunteers and retention of existing volunteers including community service workers. Enhance and support the Crossroads for Women community by planning, organizing and participating in client-oriented special events and meetings. Improve and implement in-kind donations cultivation and processing systems.

Other Information/Requirements: 

VISTA positions are open to all US citizens, nationals, and lawful permanent resident immigrants age 18 or older. Members receive a modest bi-weekly living stipend of $470 and support with childcare if needed. Other benefits include student loan forbearance or deference and a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award or post-service stipend. VISTAs serve full-time and make a year-long commitment beginning in August 2017.
