Before & After School Program Instructor

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Rio Grande Educational Collaborative, a Non-profit organization, is currently looking for Instructors for our Before and After School programs. Applicant must work with other program staff to sustain a safe and fun learning environment for Elementary school children.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Instructors provide direct instruction to children, providing supervision and guidance to program participants. They participate in the program planning, communication with families and supervising with support staff (i.e. classroom assistants and volunteers). They plan/organize activities and projects that promote positive youth development and leadership.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Instructors work closely in a team with directors, managers and program coordinators to meet program goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
• Must be at least (18) years of age and have a high school diploma or GED
• Experience working in a child-care setting or Afterschool program environment, at least (1) year
• Current CPR/ First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be able to pass a CYFD background check.
• Early Learning and Preschool Centers 45-Hour Entry Level Course certification preferred.
